This is the first time I saw this. As a longtime fan of Lynyrd Skynyrd, I have the uttermost respect for this performance of Gimme Three Steps. Bob Burns and Artimus Pyle work so well together. Two amazing drummers. May Bob Burns rest in peace.

His father was a monster bass player for the Allman Brothers who replaced Berry Oakley and also played for sea Level. His son Larmar has all the talent and soul his father had and is an excellent musician in his own right. Great southern musician carrying on the tradition of great music. God Bless.

So here we are 2 1/2 years later. I've done hundreds of parties, events, and weddings with the J8s. I've done an outdoor gig with 400 people twice, and several weddings with 250 people in a large venue. The speakers have been flawless. If buy these, the knob on the back is not a volume control, it's an attenuator. It's meant to be turned all the way up for maximum performance per RCF. You'll see reviews from other DJs who claim they can only do 100 people with these. Ask them where they have the attenuator set, and they'll tell you half way. That's like running an 8 cylinder engine on 4 cylinders. The Gator Pro 15 bags hold the J8s perfectly and the pocket in the front hold the cables for each speaker. I now use hard cases for everything else and it all fits nicely in my Hyundai Santa Fe with plenty of room for suitcases, coolers, and camera-video gear.

Artimus Pyle is an egomaniac. Him & Ronnie Van Zant used to fight all the time over how the music should be played. Ronnie smacked him once & said, listen motherf*cker, this is MY band & we play it MY way or you can just quit. Sure Artimus brought Bob out to play, but did you notice the camera was always on Artimus? While Bob only got an over the shoulder, pan shot. It’s always about Artimus. ( my source is the Lynyrd Skynyrd documentary.)
